What is home-based Physiotherapy?

Home-based physiotherapy is a type of physical therapy that is provided in the comfort of the client's home. It involves a qualified physiotherapist who visits your home and provides a personalized treatment plan to help you recover from injuries, illnesses or disabilities.

Home-based physiotherapy is particularly beneficial for patients who have difficulty traveling to a clinic or hospital due to physical or logistical reasons, such as those with mobility issues or those who have a busy work-schedule e.g. professionals who work from home (WFH). It offers convenience and flexibility to clients who prefer to receive treatment in their familiar and comfortable home environment.

The physiotherapist will conduct a thorough assessment of the client’s condition, which includes analyzing their movement, strength, range of motion, and pain levels. Based on the assessment, they will develop a treatment plan that may involve exercises, stretches, and manual therapy techniques. The physiotherapist will also educate the client on self-care techniques and exercises to help increase independence and general well-being.

Overall, home-based physiotherapy is a safe and effective way to promote recovery, improve mobility, and enhance quality of life for patients who are unable to access traditional clinic-based treatment.
